Hi, I'm Laurie Suggs, your Evidence Based Birth® Instructor! 

 

An Evidence Based Birth® Instructor is a birth professional specially trained in the latest, proven evidence to ensure the highest standard of childbirth care is delivered.

 

I became an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor because I want to be part of the movement supporting all women in their rights to receive respectful, evidence based care, that puts the birthing family at the center. For my own first birth I was sadly lacking that and just showed up at the hospital to let the doctor “take care of me”. It took five more births, and a lot of researching on my part, before I felt like I owned the experience.
